Evaluation:
This is a great children’s book that explains a bullying situation. Bullying is a big concern in school so it is important for children to become familiar with what bullying is and how to get help. This book does a great job showing children that informing an adult about bullying is important and helpful.
Reader Response Activity:
After children read about the bullying situation and how the narrator gets help from a teacher, readers can come up with a different bullying situation and what they would do to get help. This will allow readers to make connections back to the story and children will have ideas on how to get help if they experience bullying.
