The target audience is children ages five to seven. Children who have experience with bullying will relate to this book. Children who want to read a more diverse book will enjoy King for a Day.

Evaluation:
I would highly recommend this book. The illustrations are amazing and really add to the diversity of the book. This book definitely stands out when it comes to diversity because the main character is a Pakistani boy who needs to use a wheelchair. This is a great read for children!

Reader Response Activity:
After reading this book, children can create their own kite out of materials available in the classroom or at home. This will allow children to recall the kites in the illustrations and children can participate in their own kite festival.
